Role Overview
The Director, Marine Asia will drive the Cargo & Logistics strategy, with involvement in Hull, P&I, and growth across Asia.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Marine and Shipping leadership to execute strategy across 12 Asian countries.
Manage and retain key Marine accounts.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and industry stakeholders to drive new business and retention.
Analyze client risk profiles, including vessel operations, cargo types, and trade routes, to design customized insurance solutions.
Drive pipeline management and prospecting.
Coordinate regional quotations and tenders, supporting placements.
Partner with in-country teams to innovate broking strategies.
Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in insurance, business, finance, maritime studies, or related field.
Deep knowledge of marine insurance products (cargo, hull, liability) and Asia market dynamics.
Experience with large, complex commercial clients.
Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and client management skills.
Willingness to travel.
