Qualifications GCE ‘O’ level or equivalent qualifications (with at least 1 combined Science subject) Experience Must have at least 3 years of experience working in a primary school environment as science lab assistant Skills • Good interpersonal and communication skills • Meticulous with good planning and organising abilities • Good knowledge in the preparation and setting up of apparatus and materials in both Life Science and Physical Science • Interacts well with students Working Hours Mondays to Thursdays: 7.15 a.m. to 4.15 p.m. Fridays: 7.15 a.m. to 3.45 p.m. Working hours inclusive of 30 min lunch break The Contractor may propose the remuneration if the candidate is required to work on Saturdays, Sundays or gazette public holidays. Job Scope Teaching & Learning Support • To prepare science apparatus and equipment for science experiments • To assist/support teachers in the conduct of science experiments and science enrichment programmes which include E2K, hydroponics, eco trails, science-related CCAs and Applied Learning Programme (ALP). • To assist teachers in the preparation of resources for science competitions and projects and science-related CCAs • To monitor the operations of the Hydroponics System • To support in the preparation of resources for science department events • To ensure the safety of the science rooms by keeping updated on safety guidelines and adhering to safety protocols on the use of equipment and materials Inventory Management Support • To monitor the utilisation rate of the science rooms, science resources and apparatus. • To conduct stock-takes of science resources, apparatus, equipment and consumables • To check on usability of science apparatus and equipment and collate list of damaged items to be repaired or replaced • To collate items to be replenished for teaching and learning of science • To monitor the loaning out and returning of desk copies by science teachers • To maintain the cleanliness of the science rooms and Hydroponics System Any other duties assigned by School Leaders / HOD Science Maxhunt Resource Pte Ltd | EA Licence: 22C1322 Cynthia Lai | Registration No: R Tell employers what skills you have UsabilityTeachingHousekeepingConsumablesAdministrationData EntryChemistryInventory ManagementCommunication SkillsAdministrative SupportCustomer ServiceHydroponicsCalibration
