We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team. The successful candidate will work on uncertainty quantification in Large Language Models (LLMs). This is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research and collaborate with world-renowned faculty members.

The Research Fellow will be responsible for:

">
  • ">
  • Managing their own academic research and administrative activities, including small-scale project management. ">
  • Developing independent research questions and proposing new methodologies to improve existing methods. ">
  • Assisting the Principal Investigator (PI) in mentoring and supervising junior researchers and students. ">
  • Leading small teams of students, software engineers, and research assistants to formulate and address research questions. ">
  • Publishing and presenting papers at conferences and public meetings. ">
  • Working with industry and government partners to understand their research needs and formulate solutions. ">
  • Contribution to outreach, communications, and reporting as required to funders and stakeholders. ">

Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential Criteria

  • ">
  • Closing in on completion or holding a relevant Ph.D. with post-qualification research experience in statistical machine learning and deep learning. ">
  • Strong publication record and familiarity with the existing literature and research in the field of statistical machine learning and deep learning. ">
  • Ability to independently plan and manage a research project, including a budget. ">
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write for publication and present research proposals and results. ">

  • Strong technical knowledge and abilities of deep learning and large language modelling frameworks. ">
  • Experience of supervising staff. ">
