Position Details: Role: Facilities Mechanical Engineer (Senior/Principal) Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time Location: East Singapore Working Hours: Regular Office Hours About the Role: We are seeking a Senior/Principal Engineer to join our diverse Facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing mechanical facilities support to wafer fabrication operations, ensuring the continuous and reliable supply of cleanroom, chiller, HVAC, environmental protection, process utilities, and building services systems at the required performance and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the operation, preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of:-Clean Room (Class 100 environment) systems-HVAC and large-scale industrial chillers (up to 1500 RT) with associated systems-Environmental Protection systems (wet, dry, thermal scrubbers, VOC abatement)-Process Utilities systems (water, vacuum, etc.)-Building Services and Maintenance (air-conditioning, repairs, upgrading, housekeeping, landscaping, pest control) Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent issue recurrence. Formulate, review, and improve operating procedures, reporting systems, and maintenance programs to ensure optimum system performance. Monitor system performance, capacity usage, and utility consumption ; recommend and implement improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and reduce energy usage. Requirements: Master’s / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or related discipline . At least 8 years of relevant experience in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or petrochemical industry, with hands-on expertise in facilities operations and maintenance . Familiar with mechanical systems like: HVAC, Chiller, Process exhaust, hot/ local scrubber, AMC/ PCW Strong knowledge of maintenance principles, engineering best practices, and compliance requirements . Ability to lead teams, supervise contractors, and manage projects . Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills .
