The successful incumbent will be responsible for providing excellent investment advice for a dedicated group of investors and will be the centre of a servicing ‘gold standard’. The key areas will cover all aspects of Wealth Management and managing private client relationships, which will incorporate investment analysis, client discussions, marketing, and promotion.
A brief description of responsibilities as follows:
Supporting the RM to provide excellent advice to high net worth clients & investors, maintaining a high standard of service quality in all work and output.
Partnering with Client, Business Support, and Third-Party Service Providers to ensure relevant product access as well as competitive pricing for clients.
Ensuring all client portfolios are in line with clients’ needs, objectives, and risk appetite.
Providing market updates to clients, preparing reports related to the portfolio, as well as specific product performance.
Preparing investment reviews and periodic portfolio reviews, which include portfolio rebalancing and asset allocation calibration.
Responsible for the operation and maintenance of any in-house funds and portfolios.
Taking ownership of proposals and following up with new prospects.
Performing periodic due diligence and ensuring relevancy of clients’ documentation.
Adhering to MAS regulatory requirements and achieving compliance standards at all times.
Developing a strong hands-on understanding of the client services function. While this is not a day-to-day responsibility, a complete understanding of the client services function is critical for the incumbent to succeed in this role.
Skill Requirements of the Position
Personal and Social
Must be a strong team player and possess excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to integrate quickly into an established team and communicate closely with team members, most importantly with the firm’s clients and investors.
The incumbent will be expected to show initiative, be assertive, and highly independent in their work. Strong communication skills, a highly pleasant demeanor, and the ability to take on responsibility and ownership are must-haves.
Professional and Technical
Min 2-3 years of relevant experience from wealth management or private banking areas.
A keen interest in the regional wealth management industry – an aptitude to service the needs of UHNW/HNW clients: mainly Expatriate, Singaporean, Malaysian, and other client groups is essential.
A strong understanding of complex client requirements, acting as the clients’ key interface in direct interactions and communication.
Sound knowledge of banking products and services including investment products such as mutual funds, equities, bonds, ETFs, and treasury products. Proficiency with financial tools such as Bloomberg and Microsoft Excel is required. Knowledge in VBA and other programming languages such as SQL is preferred but not necessary.
The incumbent must have strong analytical, written, and spoken English skills. Relevant banking and/or finance qualifications will be highly regarded.
Regulatory Requirement
