Summary
Network Deployment Experience: The candidate should have experience in network deployment, specifically with Cisco network equipment.
Cisco Expertise: While a CCIE certification is not required, a CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) is preferred. A CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) who is currently pursuing CCNP may also be considered.
Project Management: The candidate should be capable of leading projects related to new office builds, relocations, renovations, and consolidations.
Technical Skills:
Understanding of network devices such as routers and switches.
Knowledge of failover strategies and cabling mechanisms.
Familiarity with routing protocols and Software-Defined Networking (SDN).
Documentation and Solution Design: Ability to understand business requirements, prepare solution documents, and ensure deployment with vendors.
Leadership: Although the role is an individual contributor, the candidate will lead the network aspect of projects and manage vendor teams.
Flexibility: Willingness to work on weekends or during off-hours if required, with compensatory time off.
The role is initially a one-year contract with potential for renewal.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in office network design, planning and implementation.
Strong structured cabling background.
Experienced in Cisco WLAN technology deployment.
Experienced in Telco installation.
Good technical knowledge for the following domains:
Cisco SDWAN solution & Cloud technologies.
Traditional WAN technology, including MPLS, IPSec VPN.
Enterprise campus and branch network architecture, and the associated routing (BGP and EIGRP) and switching technologies.
Network Security, including Cisco ASA, FirePower, and security management tools.
Excellent communication and written skills.
Must be willing to travel.

Network Deployment Estimation: How do you estimate the requirements for network devices such as routers and switches?

Routing Protocols: Can you explain some of the routing protocols you have used and their applications?
Software-Defined Networking (SDN): What is your understanding of SDN, and how have you applied it in past projects?
