Roles & Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage accounting functions of different nature of companies Maintain a full set of accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance Handle day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including sales, purchases, accounts receivable/payable, and cash book management Prepare weekly operational reports for management review Ensure accurate and traceable accounting records Manage timely month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and intercompany transactions Handle quarterly GST submissions and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations Respond to audit and tax-related queries efficiently Prepare financial schedules and reports for month-end and year-end closings Present financial and management reports to stakeholders Conduct cost analysis, budgeting, and variance reporting Support the preparation and submission of government grant claims Assist with overseas purchasing and order-related matters Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax agents, and banks Negotiate and renew lease agreements, including terms and conditions Complete and submit annual statistical surveys Propose and implement improvements to accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls Perform general office and operational administrative duties Requirements: Degree in Accountancy, Taxation, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent qualification) Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in accounting, including experience in an Accounts managerial role Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulatory compliance High level of accuracy, independence, and efficiency in work Excellent time management and adaptability in dynamic environments Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Collaborative team player with good communication skills Proficiency in MYOB Accounting Software Prior experience in an SME environment is preferred Immediate availability or short notice is advantageous Reporting Structure: This role includes supervisory responsibilities, with two Accounts staff reporting directly to you.
