Working Hours: 8.30am to 6.00pm, Monday to Thursday, 8:30am to 5.30pm, Friday (Hybrid Working Arrangement)Location: Jurong West Salary: Up to $6,000We are looking for a Backend Developer with hands‐on experience in building and maintaining backend services for web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate has strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java, follows clean coding principles, and is comfortable working in an Agile environment. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for web and mobile applications. Build scalable and secure server‐side logic using Kotlin and/or Java. Integrate backend services with databases, third‐party APIs, and internal systems. Collaborate with Frontend, Mobile, DevOps, QA, and Product teams to deliver end‐to‐end solutions. Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve performance issues across environments. Assist in the architectural design and improvement of backend systems and microservices. Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with security, data privacy, and performance standards. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 1 year of backend development experience. Strong hands‐on experience with Kotlin and Java for backend service development. Experience in building RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services. Familiarity with frameworks such as Spring Boot, Ktor, Micronaut, or similar.
