We are there to help guide those in need towards finding their identity and purpose in life.RESPONSIBILITIESAbout The JobThe Youth Worker Associate is part of a care team and is responsible for engaging residents in holistic and meaningful activities, providing residents with direction, guidance and supervision in daily activities and acting as a positive role model.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop case and/or care plans for youthsImplement assessment frameworks and approaches for casework and group workConduct casework interventionsDevelop group work processes and specialised intervention strategiesFacilitate delivery of group work and support groupsOrganise crisis management team with partner organisations and agencies in consultation with senior professionalsDeliver programmes independentlyEvaluate the effectiveness of programmesAssess the needs of residents based on information and feedback collated from multiple stakeholdersCollaborate with stakeholders to achieve common goalsManage volunteers in the delivery of programmes and interventionsSupport mentoring of residentsIdentify personal and professional development goals and agenda for supervisionImplement standards of care, organisational safety and health policies, procedures and programmesDeploy resources to safeguard and promote the interests of residentsQUALIFICATIONS At least a diploma, preferably in Youth Work, Social Services, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Nursing, Events Management, Community Development, Outdoor and Adventure Learning (Enrolled Nurse, Student Care Teachers or any other relevant experiences working with children and youth are welcome to apply)OTHER INFORMATION Job RequirementsDiploma from a recognised institution, Diploma in Social Services preferredPreferred Candidate AttributesAble to work shiftsKeen to work in children and youth sectorA good communicatorWork in collaboration with the teamAble to apply casework InterventionExperienced in mentoring for YouthsAble to implement Social Service Programme Working HoursUnder normal circumstances the hours of duty will be as follows:Morning Shift : 7.00am - 4.00pmAfternoon Shift : 1.00pm - 10.00pmNight Shift : 10.00pm - 7.00amA work schedule will be planned by the Manager for shiftsBy submitting this job application, I affirm that I have given to The Salvation Army true and complete information on this application.
