Contract Manager
Responsibilities:
Oversee overall quantity surveying function for a project, providing strategic cost advice and recommendations to the project management team.
Develop and implement effective cost control systems and procedures to monitor project expenditure.
Lead a team of quantity surveyors and provide guidance and mentorship to ensure high performance.
Prepare and maintain detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports throughout the project lifecycle.
Analyze and validate contract variations, claims, and final accounts, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Collaborate with consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to resolve cost-related issues and maintain transparency.
Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and value engineering initiatives.
Provide expert advice on contractual matters and interpret contract documents.
Requirements:
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a relevant discipline.
7 years of work experience, with 2 years of management experience on from contractor, consultancy, or client-side, preferably with exposure to civil projects.
Excellent understanding of contract administration, variations, claims, and final accounts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
