Legal Counsel | Inhouse Lawyer | China Steel Trading Company The Supreme HR Advisory – Central Singapore Compensation: $10,000 - $18,000 + AWS + Yearly Bonus Working Days: 5 Days, 9 AM to 6 PM Role: Legal Counsel | Inhouse Lawyer Company Overview: The company is a group that focuses on trading and distributing steel related products. We are looking for a legal expert to assist in building the legal team. There will be a 105‑minute pre‑interview assessment covering M&A Works & Trading Knowledge. Requirements Degree in law (LLB) from a university and called to the Singapore bar. Minimum 8‑12 years of experience in either a law firm or as a legal counsel, preferably covering Commodity Trading and M&A works. Expertise in mergers and acquisitions, general corporate law, and litigation. Comfortable working at a China entity where the management team primarily speaks Mandarin. Job Scopes Position holder provides legal advice and legal guidance regarding all aspects of Singapore law and various applicable laws, regulations, and company rules. Legal advisory work: Advise the Group’s business departments, Managing Directors of Affiliates, and traders; draft legal opinions, review and negotiate commercial contracts; develop and update templates and standard Terms & Conditions for all businesses in Singapore. M&A: Lead legal assistance on business development activities (establishing new JVs, divestments, acquisitions of shares or assets); advise and negotiate alongside the business, finance and tax teams; draft and review corporate transactions; prepare legal notes and coordinate with risk, compliance, tax and finance teams to consolidate comprehensive legal and compliance opinions. Corporate Secretarial: In charge of or supervising incorporation of companies, corporate secretarial matters, business registration, renewal matters, as well as all formalities related to board and shareholder meetings to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
