Because it’s with Hilton where we never forget the reason we're here: to delight our guests, Team Members, and owners alike.The Cook works under the guidance of the supervisor while maintaining the flow of the kitchen and keeping the work area clean and sanitized.What will I be doing?As a Cook, you are responsible for preparing and presenting high quality dishes to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. A Cook will also be required to prepare all mis-en-place and contribute to departmental targets. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:Complete and ensure all work done in assigned areas are to the highest cleanliness standards and in adherence to Hilton policies and procedures (HACCP).Prepare and plate according to established Hilton guidelines and food standards.Set up and complete mis en place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner according to the schedule.Operate equipment safely and properly in the kitchen and ensure they are kept clean after use.Read and understand all orders.Prepare and present all food in a timely manner according to Hilton standards.Respect and accommodate servers’ requests regarding guest preferences.Make requisitions, obtain proper signatures, submit, and collect items needed for the day and the following day with the assistance of a Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.Follow standard recipes and presentations to maintain quality in production and presentation.Clean all work areas and equipment thoroughly at the end of each shift.Keep each working area clean and organized.Maintain a positive attitude towards changes and a high level of professionalism.Report any accidents immediately.Maintain high morale and good working relationships with other employees.Maintain a full line of communication with supervisors.Respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situations.Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.What are we looking for?A Cook serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and with other Team Members.
