Product Designer Traineeship

What the role is: You will be part of a cross‐functional team that builds and validates user‐centric Artificial Intelligence (AI) products to meet defence needs. You will be involved in user research, design and testing, stakeholder engagements, feature development and product rollouts while learning to navigate policy considerations and compliance requirements to balance innovation with security needs. What you will be working on: Participate in the User Experience (UX) design process from ideation to rollout. Work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure design solutions are aligned with business objectives. Conduct research to understand users' needs, design the system flow, and develop wireframes and mock‐ups to communicate design ideas. Conduct usability testing to validate design decisions. Identify areas for improvement. What we are looking for: Background or familiarity in digital product design or User Interface (UI)/UX design. Portfolio demonstrating proficiency in UI/UX design and the ability to translate users' needs into intuitive and visually appealing interfaces. Proficiency in design tools such as Figma. Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools. Passion towards design excellence and contributing to national defence. The traineeship will be for a period of 6 months.
