The role of Events and Community Engagement Coordinator is pivotal in scaling our impact through strategic events and a robust volunteer network.

As the ideal candidate, you will be responsible for planning and executing engaging events that foster connections with external stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, community members, and beneficiaries. This includes conceptualizing and executing various events, such as fundraising galas, community roadshows, and volunteer appreciation events, ensuring they align with our organization's vision, mission, and strategic goals.

  • Develop and implement strategies for volunteer recruitment, engagement, and retention.
  • Maintain accurate records of volunteer participation, attendance, and feedback.
  • Coordinate and deliver comprehensive training programs, onboarding experiences, and appreciation initiatives for volunteers.

This position demands exceptional organizational and project management skills, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities to connect with diverse individuals and groups. A proven track record in event management, community engagement, and volunteer coordination, along with passion for social causes and commitment to community development, are essential qualities.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Planning and Execution

  • Design and execute engaging events that strengthen relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Manage event logistics, including partnerships, budgets, and program flow, ensuring seamless execution.

Volunteer Engagement

  • Foster a positive volunteer experience through effective recruitment, engagement, and retention strategies.
  • Maintain accurate data on volunteer participation, attendance, and feedback.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in event management, community engagement, or volunteer coordination.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities, with attention to detail and adaptability.
  • Able to work effectively in a dynamic environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
