We offer an internationally adapted British National Curriculum from Early Years to Year 9, the IGCSE programme in Years 10/11 and the IB Diploma Programme in Years 12/13. Job Summary The role of School Counsellor plays a key part in shaping a supportive and inclusive school culture through the strategic development and implementation of effective systems that promote social-emotional wellbeing alongside academic and enrichment programmes. Working closely with school leadership, faculty, parents, and external partners, the Counsellor ensures the delivery of evidence-based, tiered support and intervention strategies that foster positive student outcomes and smooth transitions across year levels. The successful candidate will provide individual and group counselling, oversee the development and delivery of social-emotional learning programmes, and ensure compliance with safeguarding and accrediting standards. They will actively contribute to professional learning for staff, facilitate parent workshops, and engage with local and international counselling networks. Beyond the counselling role, this position involves active participation in the wider life of the College, including enrichment activities, community engagement, and supporting whole-school initiatives. Requirements The successful candidate must have: A licensed or registered school/educational counsellor or psychologist or counsellor with experience in a school setting A minimum of two years’ experience working with students and families with a deep, working knowledge of the importance of culturally responsive practice Experience in the development, implementation and support of tiered systems and processes to include relevant assessment practices, documentation and data tracking and analysis Relevant and responsive knowledge of current practice to support leadership in response to student protection issues and crisis and risk management Experience working with outside agencies and community members to support programming in additional support areas as needed Alignment with our core values of excellence, kindness, sustainability, diversity and community A hard-working, positive, flexible and solution-focused attitude to working life A high level of professionalism and consideration of the well‐being of children Strong written and verbal communication skills A mindset of continuous Professional Learning and improvement. International School experience is desirable. Relevant experience in administration, interpretation, and reporting on psychoeducational assessments is desirable.
