The ideal candidate will have knowledge in performing safety data sheet authoring, ability to coordinate SDS activities, develop technical SOPs and experience in the life sciences/biotechnology industry is highly desirable. As a Safety Data Sheet Author, you will work closely with large technology clients to provide technical support in authoring Safety Data Sheets for products. Responsibilities Author new and existing product safety data sheets for multiple jurisdictions and languages for clients. Manage SDS master data with records management. Partner with cross-functional stakeholder groups on SDS content. Manage customer requests, perform updates as needed and provide relevant information related to SDS's. Actively participate as part of a project team to implement a Safety Data Sheet Authoring System. Ability to work onsite as needed to perform SDS Authoring. Determine hazard classifications in accordance with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) and other authoring regulations. Assist customers on inquiries for Product Safety and Product Compliance including TSCA, EU Reach, Prop 65, RoHS, Medical regulations (EU), Food Contact (FDA) regulations, and other regulations. Develop comprehensive technical SOP's focused on business process for management and execution of safety data sheets within the organization. Track and manage SDS work queue for Asia Pacific Region in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders within the organization. Education BS in chemical and/or environmental engineering, chemistry, occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene or related field of discipline. Experience Minimum of 5+ years' experience with safety data sheet authoring required. Ability to manage concurrent requests for multiple clients in a fast-paced environment. Experience working with or in biotech/pharmaceutical environments is a plus but not required. Experience with data analytics and continuous improvement practices preferred. Experience with digital technology platforms used for SDS Authoring desired. Understanding of the relevant local, state, and federal regulations and how they apply to the specific industry. Collaborates and influences broadly cross-functionally. Strong oral and professional communication skills required. Comfortable in a fast-paced company environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities. Strong people skills including verbal and written communication. Well-developed teambuilding and influencing skills; unquestioned integrity; and the experience, confidence, and stature to effectively address client and business needs and challenges. Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, organizational skills and ability to prioritize activities to execute to plan. Excellent writing, communication, presentation, strategic thinking, and "people" skills.
