Overview We are exclusively partnering with a well-established, high-growth regional company to identify a seasoned Senior Counsel to join its legal team. This newly created role will operate at the business unit level, reporting directly into the Head of Legal. The successful candidate will play a key part as a senior member of the team, advising on a broad range of commercial, corporate, and employment law matters in support of the company’s dynamic business operations. Key Responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including customer, vendor, and strategic partnership agreements. Provide legal advice on corporate transactions, joint ventures, and other strategic initiatives. Advise on employment law matters, including employee relations, HR policies, and cross-border workforce issues. Partner with business stakeholders to identify legal risks and provide pragmatic, business-oriented solutions. Support compliance with applicable laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions in which the company operates. Contribute to the development and implementation of internal policies, templates, and best practices to improve efficiency within the legal team. Act as a senior member of the team, providing guidance and mentorship to more junior lawyers and legal professionals. Requirements Qualified lawyer with 10–15 years of post-qualification experience, including time spent in reputable law firms and/or in-house legal departments. Solid grounding in commercial contracts drafting/negotiation, corporate transactions, and employment law matters. Prior experience in the B2C sector, or adjacent industries such as e-commerce, logistics, or consumer technology, is strongly preferred. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams. A pragmatic, hands-on approach with the ability to balance legal risks against commercial priorities.
