Overview Balanced Engineering & Construction (BEC) is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented QA/QC Engineer to join our team on the Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF) project in Singapore. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all works meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. Key Responsibilities Conduct quality inspections on structural steel fabrication, assembly, and installation activities. Verify materials, dimensions, and workmanship against approved drawings, welding procedures, and inspection test plans (ITPs). Monitor and record welding, bolting, and coating activities, ensuring compliance with specifications and relevant standards. Prepare and maintain inspection records, material traceability logs, test reports, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs). Coordinate with site engineers, fabricators, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues promptly. Support internal and client audits, and promote continuous improvement in quality performance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 3–5 years of QA/QC experience in steel fabrication and erection for large industrial or infrastructure projects. Familiar with AWS, BS EN, or SS standards and welding inspection procedures. Experience with NDT, painting inspection, and dimensional control is an advantage. Familiarity with inspection of mineral wool insulation and aluminium cladding (preferred; not required).
