Physiotherapy (PT) / Occupational Therapy (OT) Lecturer We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Physiotherapy (PT) / Occupational Therapy (OT) Lecturer to join our team at HMI Institute of Health Sciences Pte Ltd on a freelance or part time basis . This role is integral in shaping the future of healthcare professionals by providing high-quality training and mentorship to our students. As a PT/OT Lecturer, the person will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging training programs that meet HMI Institute's standards and align with industry requirements. The PT/OT Lecturer is responsible for planning, delivering, assessing, and continuously improving training programs to ensure students meet the required competency standards. This role ensures training remains relevant, up-to-date, and compliant with HMI Institute and external accreditation standards. Responsibilities To plan, deliver training and assessment methodology to meet the identified competency requirements of the target group, ensuring that the training remains current and relevant to meet the standards required by HMI Institute and external accreditation authorities. To participate actively in continuing professional education and training as required by HMI Institute and/or by the regulatory bodies. To maintain current and updated with the latest learning and teaching methodologies and technologies. To adhere to the training standards and quality as required by HMI Institute and/or by the various regulatory bodies / governing agencies. Main Duties To carry out the duties of a lecturer, clinical instructor, counselor and mentor to students assigned to you in your course of duties. To manage, coordinate and supervise course instructions and assessments effectively, without compromising training standards and quality. To act as a liaison between external healthcare institutions and HMI Institute for clinical attachment purposes. Secondary Duties To contribute to the improvement of training curriculum, teaching materials, instructional quality and course delivery methodology via: Review of courseware to ensure it is current and relevant to the healthcare industry. To develop new courses/programmes, only if assigned; Other related assignments and activates as assigned and mutually agreed. Requirements At least a bachelor degree in physiotherapy/occupational therapy from a recognised university; Obtained Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP) or Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) is preferred . Currently registered as a physiotherapist/occupational therapist in Singapore Skills/Knowledge Strong knowledge of physiotherapy/occupational therapy principles, techniques, and practices; Excellent communication and presentation skills; Enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring future healthcare professionals; Proficient in relevant software and educational tool; Commitment to maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment. Working Experiences At least 5 years of experience in physiotherapy/occupational therapy role; At least 2 years of experience as a therapy educator would be advantageous.
