Director, Group Wholesale Banking - Sector Head - Power Get AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features. Lead CIMB’s sector strategy and development of sector framework in power generation, transmission, and infrastructure, with an emphasis on renewables and clean energy. Identify strategic opportunities in key energy initiatives to position CIMB as a key partner in ASEAN’s energy transition by developing innovative financing solutions and partnerships. This includes ASEAN Power Grid (APG), ASEAN Plan of Action for Energy Cooperation (APAEC), ASEAN Renewable Energy Targets and etc Originate, structure, and manage landmark transactions in the power space across ASEAN, including sustainable project finance, regional energy trade facilitation, and ESG-aligned investment, corporate lending, cash solutioning and investment banking etc Shape underwriting standards and risk appetite for transactions in the power sector Build and manage strategic relationships with project sponsors, utilities, IPPs, regulators, sovereign entities, and private equity investors in the ASEAN region. Monitor the performance and risk profile of the power sector loan and investment portfolio. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in related discipline. >10 years of relevant experience in power and renewable energy sectors. Proven track record of deal origination, project development, or investment execution in ASEAN’s energy markets. Deep knowledge of the regional power, utilities, and energy sector initiatives, energy policy frameworks, market dynamics, and emerging trends in ASEAN.
