Job Description
The Corporate Communications (CC) division at A*STAR maintains the organisation's visibility in a constantly shifting and crowded media landscape. We communicate how our discoveries translate into meaningful outcomes for the public, industry, and scientific community through a dynamic, multi-channel approach.
We seek a creative and strategic individual with a strong marketing sensibility to shape and strengthen A*STAR's brand. This role will support the development and execution of brand and marketing initiatives that raise awareness of A*STAR's mission, partnerships, and impact. You will work across teams to ensure our brand identity is applied consistently and effectively across channels and campaigns. You will also develop targeted, engaging content that resonates with key audiences and enhances A*STAR's positioning locally and internationally.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of brand and marketing strategies, brand identity and governance with a high level of attention to detail. This individual needs to be a proactive problem-solver, a strong communicator and an agile team player.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion and safeguard A*STAR's brand identity in all respects including setting style guides and brand guidelines
- Support the development and execution of brand and marketing strategies that communicate A*STAR's mission and impact locally and internationally
- Contribute to the planning and roll out of marketing campaigns, leverage A*STAR's research capabilities and industry partnerships to drive awareness and engagement
- Analyse campaign data to uncover actionable insights, inform strategy and optimise campaign performance
- Assist in the development and execution of broader marketing and content initiatives across multiple channels
- Oversee the selection, customisation, and distribution of corporate gifts and merchandise ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and positioning
- This role reports to the Senior Assistant Director, Corporate Communications (Branding and Marketing).
Job Requirements
- At least 4 years of demonstrable experience in branding or marketing in an agency or in-house role
- Demonstrated ability to support or lead marketing and brand campaigns, with a sound understanding of campaign strategy, tactics and messaging across various audience types
- Strong written, verbal and visual communication skills with an eye for detail and audience engagement
- Familiarity with basic marketing analytics (e.g. campaign performance metrics, audience insights) and data-informed decision making
- Organised, meticulous, and experienced in managing projects, meeting deadlines, and juggling multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
- Curious, up to date with marketing trends and digital platforms, and a resourceful team player
- Proficiency in design and video tools (e.g. Canva, Capcut, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator) is a plus
