(What the role is)
We are seeking an experienced scientific officer to lead the diagnostics validation section at CDA. The successful candidate will manage a team of scientists in a fast-paced environment, ensuring rapid response to outbreaks and collaboration with international partners.
(Responsibilities)

  • Establish and lead the diagnostic validation section.
  • Ensure technical proficiency and compliance with standards.
  • Collaborate on research projects with public health agencies.
  • Recruit, train, and manage laboratory staff.
  • Develop SOPs and oversee research activities.
  • Participate in international networks and outbreak response.

(Requirements)

  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience.
  • Experience with ISO/IEC standards preferred.
  • Expertise in diagnostics methodologies.
  • Experience developing diagnostics for pathogens.
  • Leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to analyze and communicate research outcomes.
