Responsibilities
Assist in supervising daily diesel engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul operations.
Report to Asst Engineer/ Engineer on the work schedules to optimise resource allocation and operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with all safety policies, environmental guidelines, and quality assurance standards related to marine diesel systems.
Conduct inspections and troubleshoot technical issues to minimise downtime of naval vessels.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, logistics, and quality control to streamline maintenance processes and improve service delivery.
Support training and mentoring of junior technicians and staff to enhance team capability and competencies.
Prepare and maintain comprehensive maintenance records and reports for management and regulatory review.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to elevate operational standards and workforce safety.
Requirements
NITEC/Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering/Marine Engineering
Able to use measuring tools e.g., micrometer, bore gauge.
Able to work under pressure.
Able to work in a team.
Support other roles when required such as lifting operations, harbor and sea trials
Some computer knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
