Enterprise Application Architect - Financial Firm My client in the banking sector is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the modernization of core business applications and drive digital transformation efforts across the organization. As a key member of the Enterprise Architecture Team, you will collaborate with cross‐functional groups to revamp legacy systems, integrate cutting‐edge technologies, and define architectural standards that ensure a scalable and future‐ready IT environment. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with IT and business teams to modernize and secure legacy application architectures. Provide architecture guidelines, patterns, and best practices for both internal and customer‐facing banking platforms. Take ownership of the end‐to‐end technical design, development, deployment, and operation of new enterprise applications. Mentor and guide development teams through complex design and implementation challenges. Lead the development of technology governance frameworks and ensure adherence to IT policies and standards. Engage stakeholders at all levels to support enterprise‐wide digital transformation. Requirements Bachelor's degree with 15+ years in the financial industry, including 5+ years in a technical leadership role. Proven success in modernizing complex enterprise applications. Strong experience in microservices architecture for mission‐critical systems. Expertise in Java and .NET for multi‐tier application development. Solid knowledge of Oracle and MS‐SQL databases. Hands‐on experience with IBM middleware tools (e.g., MQ, IIB, IWA, Instana). Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services (APIM, Functions, Logic Apps, SQL DB) is a plus. Experience developing and supporting customer‐facing banking portals. Deep understanding of financial industry regulations, compliance, and risk management. In‐depth knowledge of security architecture and best practices. Experience in establishing and maintaining enterprise IT governance frameworks.
