Overview Prepare 2D and 3D CAD drawings for water and waste water treatment plants, pipelines, process systems, pressure vessels, skids and modules. Responsibilities Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and project requirements to produce accurate drawings. Develop P&IDs, piping layouts, general arrangements, isometrics, and fabrication drawings. Collaborate with engineers and other drafters to ensure design accuracy and compliance with project requirements and industry standards. Maintain drawing standards, title blocks, layering, and file naming conventions. Perform clash detection and design reviews using 3D modeling software. Manage revisions, redlines, and markups through the document control system. Ensure compliance with relevant codes (e.g., ASME, API, ANSI, AWWA) and company standards. Coordinate with external consultants, vendors, fabrication and or commissioning teams as needed. Mentor drafters and support CAD team development. Qualifications and Experience Associate degree or certification in CAD drafting, engineering technology, or a related field. Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is a plus. Minimum 5–10 years of CAD drafting experience, with at least 3 years in water treatment and/or oil & gas . Strong understanding of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) , process flow diagrams (PFDs) , and equipment layouts . Software Proficiency AutoCAD (2D & 3D) – required AutoCAD Plant 3D – preferred Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D – desirable MicroStation – optional but a plus MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)Certifications (Optional but Valuable)Autodesk Certified Professional (AutoCAD or Plant 3D)OSHA Safety Training (for site visits)Key Skills & Competencies Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, civil, and piping systems. Familiarity with construction practices and fabrication processes. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize deadlines. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
