Senior Toolmaker Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication and assembly of complex 3D stamping tools, using precision machining and hand-fitting techniques to deliver high-quality results.

  • Key responsibilities include fabricating and assembling complex 3D stamping tools, performing preventive and corrective maintenance on 3D stamping dies, and troubleshooting and repairing worn or damaged tools.
  • The Senior Toolmaker will also collaborate with the Tool & Die Design and Production Engineering teams during the tool development process, providing feedback to improve tool design for manufacturability and maintainability.
  • Additionally, the candidate will conduct tool try-outs and tuning to achieve first-pass yield and part quality, optimizing press parameters for new and existing tools.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • A technical certificate or diploma in tool and die making, precision engineering, or equivalent is required.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in progressive stamping tools and a minimum of 5 years of experience in tool making, focusing on progressive, compound, and 3D stamping tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret 3D CAD drawings and 2D tool design prints is essential.
  • Experience with tight tolerance parts and forming on challenging materials is also necessary.
