Overview Citi FX Technology is looking for a Senior Software Engineer in the FX STIRT Pricing Technology team. The individual in this role will work on a suite of existing pricing and market data applications and contribute to the design and development of the Strategic FX Pricing platform. The team includes technology members based in Singapore, Canada and London. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong development background. Responsibilities Work with Front office Trading and Sales teams to understand requirements and convert them into concrete deliverables. Mentor and coach mid-level developers. Provide expertise in application programming and ensure design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint. Implement new functionalities by writing high-quality code and automated tests. Appropriately assess risk in business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws. Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of Java experience in writing solid APIs. Java 11+; asynchronous programming; microservices architecture and patterns; low-latency systems design and implementation. Experience with messaging middleware platforms such as Solace and Kafka. Experience using container platforms such as Kubernetes and OpenShift. A polyglot programmer who can adapt to different programming languages. Strong understanding of automated testing techniques. Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and Continuous Integration. Nice to have: experience as a technologist in the front office space across derivative asset classes; team leadership experience; full stack development. Education Bachelor’s degree / University degree or equivalent experience.
