Automation Engineer | Life Sciences Industry | 5 Days | Jurong East Working Time: Mon - Fri, 9 am - 6 pmLocation: The Strategy Tower (Jurong East MRT)Salary: $5000 - $6000Role Overview The Automation Engineer will design, implement, and maintain automation solutions in life sciences facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. The role involves working with Rockwell Automation platforms, Building Management Systems (BMS), and skid systems.Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy automation systems using Rockwell Automation platforms (e.g., ControlLogix, FactoryTalk, PlantPAx). Configure and integrate Building Management Systems (BMS) and skid systems for life sciences facilities, including environmental monitoring and process control. Implement and manage ThinManager for centralized thin client management and deployment of client applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop functional specifications, and deliver automation solutions. Conduct system testing, commissioning, and validation activities to meet GMP and regulatory standards. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for deployed automation systems. Document system design, user manuals, and validation protocols. Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends to maintain automation strategies. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in automation engineering. Proficiency in Rockwell Automation products (RSLogix 5000, FactoryTalk View, etc.). Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS), skid systems, and environmental control applications . Knowledge of industry regulations, including GAMP, 21 CFR Part 11, and validation practices. Preferred Qualifications Experience with ThinManager for centralized management of thin clients and deployment of client applications. Familiarity with SCADA systems and industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, OPC, Modbus). Previous experience in a GMP-regulated environment in the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry.
