Lead Compliance Analyst

Overview Coinbase is seeking a Lead Analyst, Compliance TMS Operations. The CX Compliance team ensures global Compliance Operations run smoothly, adhere to regulatory standards, and deliver high-quality outcomes. The role involves end-to-end Transaction Monitoring investigations, drafting and filing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), and collaborating with stakeholders across the Financial Crime Risk service line and support teams. The position requires the ability to manage high-volume workloads with attention to detail and to work with minimal supervision. Our work culture is intense and not for everyone. What you’ll be doing Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in financial services, crypto, investigations, legal, or the tech industry, with a focus on TMS, compliance, or regulatory matters. Drafting suspicious transaction reports in the format provided by the Singapore Police Force and filing them on the SONAR portal Identify red flag indicators and populate them correctly in STR files Conduct investigative reviews and analyses to support AML regulatory compliance, including investigating automated alerts from transaction monitoring systems and referrals from law enforcement or other business lines Analyze transaction activity and KYC information, conduct due diligence, and interpret evidence to determine the legitimacy of customer behavior across multiple products Document investigations in written narratives and decide whether escalation is warranted, recommending whether activity appears suspicious and warrants filing SARs Incorporate feedback from the Quality Assurance team and maintain detailed documentation to demonstrate regulatory and internal policy compliance Remain current with industry standards in KYC, BSA/AML, and OFAC, applying regulatory requirements to case investigations Review data from systems and Coinbase procedures to investigate, decide, and document transaction monitoring alerts What we look for in you Strong interpersonal, analytical, and written/verbal communication skills Experience with Google Sheets, Google Docs, Excel, and Word Flexibility and adaptability to a high-growth, fast-paced environment readiness to support in a 24/7 environment Organizational skills with high attention to detail Nice to have Professional AML or Fraud certifications (e.g., CAMS, CFCS, CFE)Experience in project management, analytics, or vendor management Advanced degree in business, finance, or CX Proficiency with Google apps, JIRA, Hummingbird, and Salesforce Service Cloud Experience collaborating with external outsource partners Pay and Compliance notices Pay Transparency Notice: The target annual salary for this position is detailed below.
