What you will be working on
Work with a multitude of internal and external stakeholders (consultants, industry workgroups, government ministries/agencies, etc.) on actuarial and insurance-related tasks and projects.
Set up and perform ongoing enhancement of the actuarial processes and workflow (covering modelling, valuation, experience studies, key risk monitoring, pricing analysis, etc.) to manage the CPFB insurance schemes.
Operationalise regulatory framework, accounting standards and industry best practices for CPFB insurance schemes.
Conduct research on actuarial approaches relevant for CPFB insurance schemes.
Leverage data analytics to conduct actuarial analyses to support the Board’s initiatives to benefit CPF members.
What are we looking for
Relevant experience in actuarial analysis and insurance scheme management, with demonstrated progression in actuarial responsibilities.
Experience in technical actuarial work including modelling, valuation, experience studies, and risk monitoring.
Proficient in FIS insurance risk suite (Prophet), with experience in data analytics and statistical programming tools such as Python and Power BI being advantageous.
Good understanding of Financial Reporting Standard 117 (FRS117), current regulatory framework and industry practices.
Experience in stakeholder management and working with diverse internal and external partners.
Passionate about delivering high-quality work and developing solutions for challenging industry issues.
Effective communication, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
Adaptable and resourceful in handling different tasks and challenges.
The seniority of appointment and actual corporate job title will be commensurate with individual work experiences. The position is a 2-year full-time contract directly under the CPF Board payroll with potential for emplacement into a permanent position.
