Assistant Heat Exchanger Thermal & Mechanical Design Manager Are you an experienced engineer looking to take your career to the next level? This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead thermal and mechanical design projects for heat exchangers, combining technical expertise with managerial responsibilities. What you'll be doing?Lead and mentor: Guide a team of thermal and mechanical design engineers, fostering their growth and development. Manage projects: Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of project milestones. Collaborate across teams: Work closely with project management, procurement, QA/QC, and fabrication teams throughout the project lifecycle. Drive technical excellence: Conduct reviews, lead design optimization discussions, and ensure compliance with client specifications and regulations. Client communication: Serve as the primary technical contact for clients during design reviews and technical clarifications. Innovate and improve: Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives in design processes, tools, and engineering practices. Support business growth: Assist proposal and estimation teams with technical inputs during bid stages. Project oversight: Track engineering deliverables and report project status to senior management. Ensure quality outcomes: Guarantee that designs meet safety, performance, and cost objectives. Who are they looking for?Engineering background: Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Relevant experience: Bring 5+ years of experience in thermal & mechanical design of heat exchangers & pressure vessels, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role. Software proficiency: Demonstrate expertise in thermal design software (e.g., HTRI, Aspen EDR) and pressure vessel design software (e.g., PVELite, Autopipe-Vessel).
