Position Summary Independently perform the mechanical design (2D & 3D) to comply with class and technical specifications, and meet all requirements within the assigned schedule. Tasks & Responsibilities Assist the manager in day‑to‑day operations and perform assigned mechanical tasks with good quality and within schedule, while studying and adopting new regulations, rules, products, and standards. Report to the project manager or section manager on mechanical/HVAC related man‑hours, schedule, and other metrics. Lead the mechanical and HVAC team on projects, ensuring quality and schedule compliance. Train and guide mechanical/HVAC engineers (AE or draftmen) to build a cohesive team. Prepare and review HVAC calculations, 2D SLD/DLD, 3D models, specifications, and vendor drawings. Attend and report at project and section meetings, supporting the project section lead on mechanical/HVAC technical issues and coordinating with shipyards, consultants, vendors, etc. Perform as Project Section Lead / Mechanical & HVAC Technical Lead for new building, repair, upgrade, and conversion projects. Job Requirements Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in machinery/HVAC new‑building design in the marine/offshore industry. Minimum 3 years of senior engineer experience or above. Degree or diploma in a relevant discipline. Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Office, and AVEVA. Familiarity with class rules and statutory requirements.
