About The Team The global e‐commerce team optimizes TikTok's logistics fulfillment services using machine learning, deep learning, and operational research. Externally it delivers fast, high‐quality logistics to consumers and merchants; internally it builds an intelligent system to save costs, time, and improve efficiency. Responsibilities Develop deep learning and operations research models for supply chain and logistics. Use e‐commerce data and deep learning to predict end‐to‐end ETA and logistics events such as failed delivery, and to enhance the user experience. Build logistics network knowledge graphs and predict the spatio‐temporal trajectory of express packages via deep learning, statistical inference and other algorithmic methods. Apply NLP and LLM algorithms for address verification and suggestion. Employ time‐series forecasting to predict sales, inventory demand, and manpower needs using machine learning and deep learning. Drive growth for e‐commerce merchants and creators, including mining, tiering, outreach, and growth algorithms, in close collaboration with operations and product teams. Analyze product performance using data mining and machine learning to improve operation strategies and pricing/subsidy strategies, aiding traffic distribution and cost optimization. Minimum Qualifications Final‐year Ph.D. or recent Ph.D. graduate in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative field. Proficient in machine learning and statistics with practical application experience. Programming expertise in Python or Java, and familiarity with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or another common framework. Preferred Qualifications Strong analytical, initiative, teamwork, and communication skills. Publication record at top conferences (KDD, NeurIPS, SIGIR, WSDM, ICML, IJCAI, AAAI, RecSys) or competitive experience in data‐mining/ML contests.
