Direct the performance of the Safety & Security staff and follow up with corrections and/or discipline where needed. Responsible for the discipline of their officers, assisting in scheduling, officer reviews, and officer communiqués. Take a lead role in emergencies. Assign or delegate specific works, projects, administrative duties, tasks, investigations, inspections, etc., acting as senior Safety & Security representative in the absence of any superiors. Act as a first responder in medical emergencies, providing appropriate first aid and/or CPR, and if necessary, request additional Emergency Services personnel. Maintain a safe environment, keeping the peace, and acting on any actual or potential violations of laws and hotel standards of conduct. Control the shift by assigning officers and guards to posts, and managing their rotation. Conduct initial investigations of all incidents in the absence of departmental leaders and alert the Chief of Safety & Security to all incidents. Administration Perform ad hoc individual and team trainings as needed to ensure compliance with corporate standards. Oversee key control, including metal and electronic master keys. Ensure safety and security during functions and special events. Manage all other security-related activities and issues on the shift. Customer Service Handle and resolve all guest queries and complaints efficiently, establishing amicable relationships with clients, customers, and guests. Financial Ensure adherence to hotel, company, and local rules regarding financial record keeping, money handling, and licensing, including timely and accurate reporting of financial information. Prevent losses and maintain departmental expenditure control. Operational Maintain full records of all activities on shift, including Daily Log, Daily Roster, Overtime report, overnight checklists, incident reports, and any other documents required by the Chief of Safety & Security. Foster good relationships with all departments and colleagues. Be understanding, supportive, encouraging, and helpful to all. Personnel Assist in conducting the Safety & Security training program to support the Hotel’s commitment to energizing the ‘Esprit Accor’. Conduct daily trainings at Department briefings/line-ups. Other Duties Perform all tasks as detailed in the daily task list. Participate in related project teams. Occupational Health & Safety Employee Responsibility All employees must safeguard their health and safety, and the health and safety of others, in the workplace.
