Commodity Manager
to lead strategic sourcing and supplier management activities across the Asia region within the
aerospace industry .
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute regional/global commodity and sourcing strategies
Manage
direct materials and outsourced services
across aerospace suppliers
Lead supplier negotiations, pricing strategies, LTAs and commercial agreements
Drive cost savings through benchmarking, should-cost, PPV and other cost-analysis initiatives
Manage supplier capacity, lead time, delivery performance and supply continuity risks
Lead supplier sourcing, qualification, transition and performance improvement activities
Evaluate RFQs/RFPs and support strategic contract negotiations
Work across sites on demand/supply planning, shortages, expedites and inventory optimisation
Manage sourcing requirements covering capital equipment, MRO/tooling, repairs and related services
Requirements:
Strong aerospace procurement / commodity management experience
Solid background in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, cost reduction and contract management
Knowledge of aerospace supplier requirements such as AS9100, Nadcap and customer flow-downs
Familiar with ERP/MRP systems, Incoterms, global logistics and cross-border trade requirements
Strong supplier risk and supply continuity management experience
Advanced Excel skills
Degree or minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience
Good to Have:
Coupa and/or Power BI experience
APICS/CPIM, CPSM, CIPS, Lean or Six Sigma certification
REACH / RoHS knowledge
Experience managing commodities across multiple Asia sites
