Fire Protection Engineer (Design/ Project Management) at Manpower Singapore
Location: Queenstown, Central Singapore
Overview
Role involves design and project management for firefighting and fire alarm systems, including site visits, drawings, hydraulic calculations, testing and commissioning, and coordination with other services. Familiarity with Singapore fire protection codes, standards and regulations is required.
Responsibilities
Design and project operation for firefighting and fire alarm systems.
Prepare layout drawings showing pipe routing, isolation valves, hydrant valves and fire extinguishers, and perform hydraulic calculations for hydrant and sprinkler systems.
Produce GA, isometric drawings, and hydraulic calculations for spray systems (HVWS and MVWS).
Develop layout drawings showing cable routing and module interfaces for other services.
Calculate battery requirements and sounder audibility for fire alarm systems.
Prepare technical data sheets for firefighting and fire alarm system materials and devices (pumps, valves, fittings; panels, detectors and modules).
Coordinate overall design and participate in testing and commissioning, RI inspection.
Visit project sites and analyze site conditions; prepare drawings for firefighting and fire alarm systems.
Ensure designs comply with Singapore fire protection codes, standards and regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
Experience in designing and installing fire protection systems.
Experience in design/operation for firefighting and fire alarm systems.
Familiarity with Singapore fire protection codes, standards and regulations.
