Job Title: Construction Site Inspector

This position requires a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, drainage, and civil engineering.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Locate manholes and public sewers within the land parcel(s) of the construction project to determine the location of the construction site/activity.
    • Take coloured photographs at each manhole and along the sewer alignment to show the absence/presence of construction activities within sewer corridor.
    • Measure the distance from construction activity to the sewer alignment if there is construction activity near sewer corridor.
    • Communicate with Builders' Project Manager/Engineer/Owner/QP etc. onsite to obtain documents including approval letters, plans, drawings etc.
    • Check for any infringements/non-compliances or unauthorized activities as per WRN's requirements and Sanitary and Drainage Regulation/Acts requirements.
    • Inspect the interior of last inspection chambers and manholes inside/near the construction project site to check sewer flow conditions and for signs of illegal discharge of debris/construction materials.
    • Submit a report for each site inspection with detailed information, coloured photographs, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Requirements:
    • Nitec qualification.
    • Must have own vehicle.
    • Must have construction-related experience.

    • Excellent written communication.
    • Familiarity with raw materials, timber, piping, pressure, and construction drawings.
