About Our Team:
The Restorative Care Department (RCD) is a dynamic team dedicated to providing support services to offenders, ex-offenders, and their families. With a strong focus on rehabilitation and reintegration, our team works tirelessly to make a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.
Job Description
- Provide information and referral services for offenders, ex-offenders, and/or their next of kin
- Conduct risk assessment, social investigation, assessment, case formulation, intervention planning
- Timely preparation and submission of reports and case recordings
- Conduct meetings, sessions, workshops, and programs for offenders, ex-offenders, and/or their next of kin
- Required to cover office duties at various centers
Requirements
- Degree in Social Work or Degree with a Graduate Diploma in Social Work from an accredited institution
- Comfortable working with offenders and ex-offenders in Police and Prison settings
- Able to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment
- Required to work on weeknights and weekends on a needs-basis
- Maturity, communication skills, and interpersonal skills to work with professionals and families from diverse backgrounds
- Able to develop empathy and empathic responses, reflective capacity, self-awareness
- Adaptive multi-tasking skills and problem-solving skills
- Personal effectiveness, independence, and good time management
- Strong writing skills
- Team player
- Counsellor with casework experience welcome
