Mechanical R&D Engineer (Underwater Sensors)In This Role, You Will Work in a multidisciplinary R&D team to advance the nation's underwater sensing capabilities & transform ideas from concept to reality Design, model and prototype mechanical modules for underwater sensor payloads, ensuring feasibility through structural calculations, simulations and testing Integrate and qualify mechanical systems through environmental tests, including vibration, pressure and thermal tests Participate in field trials to validate designs under real‐world operational conditions Job Requirements Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Strong foundation in mechanical design and structural analysis Proficient in Finite Element Modelling/Analysis (FEM/A) and CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks)Hands‐on experience in prototype fabrication and testing Knowledge of thermal analysis is advantageous Passionate about defence‐related R&D and innovative problem‐solving Independent, resourceful and collaborative team player with strong communication and critical‐thinking skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
