About the Role:
Instrumentation & Control System design for greenfield, revamp, or retrofit projects during Basic and Detailed Engineering phases of medium and large projects.
Lead a team of I&C Engineers & designers from the home office and support office at Worley Global Engineering Delivery (GID), India.
Ensure all documentation within their scope is prepared and checked according to the Worley Management System.
Review vendor bids and documentation for technical acceptance.
Provide technical assistance to other design groups assigned to the project.
Communicate with client representatives, end users, other discipline engineers, and GID/HVEC offices.
Support inspection activities for Field Instruments & Control Systems as necessary.
Identify value-added items and encourage team members to do the same.
Promote safe and sustainable engineering practices, with a focus on value improvement and personal well-being.
Responsibilities:
Experience related to FPSO topsides modules, LNG, refinery, oil & gas, petrochemical & chemical instrumentation & control systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Engineering or Technology degree (B.E or B.Tech) in Instrument and Control Systems from a reputed university; a master's degree is preferred.
Required Skills:
Minimum 20 years of hands-on experience in FEED and detail engineering for chemical, petrochemical, refinery, and LNG projects.
Led at least two major projects valued at over a billion dollars, including local and international projects.
Proven experience in LNG projects, storage tanks, and loading terminals engineering.
Strong background in field instrumentation, control, process automation, and safety system design, especially in ICSS engineering.
Knowledge of Foundation Fieldbus, HART, control system migration, and planning.
Proficiency with SPI database and E3D modelling software.
Extensive experience in P&ID development, instrument specifications, and datasheets.
Experience in designing and configuring DCS, SIS, IPS, HIPPS, F&G systems, CCS, PLCs, LNG, and BOG systems.
Instrument sizing, valve selection, and safety system components.
Participation in reviews such as HAZOPs, SIL, FAT, SAT, and ergonomic design.
Experience working with MICC and knowledge of systems like Emerson Delta V and Schneider Triconex.
Familiarity with international standards (ISA, IEC, ISO, IEEE, NFPA) and functional safety (IEC and cybersecurity (ISA/IEC
Experience managing remote I&C engineering teams in India, coordinating with clients and EPCs.
Knowledge of brownfield modifications, site surveys, and interface management.
Understanding of client standards in LNG, petrochemical, and refinery industries.
Strong leadership, communication, and technical writing skills.
Certification in Functional Safety Engineering and ISA certification are preferred.
Preferred Skills:
Hands-on with instrumentation engineering software and data-centric databases like SPI and AVEVA.
Continuous IT skills improvement and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
