Job Description
The primary contact for patients in most healthcare settings, the Enrolled Nurse provides direct nursing care, implements treatment and care plans, and carries out assignments under delegation or supervision.
Enrolled Nurses contribute to care planning and evaluation, monitor progress, and report changes in patients' conditions and treatment responses. They assist doctors and registered nurses with examinations, medications, and treatments, and update records on patient condition and treatments received.
- Nursing duties include setting drips, taking blood samples, inserting cannulas, serving medications under supervision, and other tasks associated with nursing.
- Administrative duties include filing, updating patient databases, mailing, arranging courier services, and inventory checking of drugs.
- Liaising with stakeholders involves preparation, execution, and post-mortem phases of medical procedures.
- Patient registration and coordination involve assisting with movement within the working environment.
- Assisting doctors in the operating theater, examination rooms, and hospitals requires following up on patient hospitalization enquiries and status.
- Financial counselling involves preparing and conducting sessions for examinations and procedures.
- Patient care and service excellence are top priorities, along with upholding the company's reputation.
- Regular check-ups and monitoring of patient statistics and conditions are essential responsibilities.
- Monitoring patient status and external laboratory reports/examination results is critical.
- Performing daily clinical routines, non-invasive procedures, and examinations requires assistance from doctors.
- Familiarity with medication available in the working environment is necessary.
- Serving as a resource person for knowledge on medication usage, side effects, and dosage is essential.
- Maintaining hygiene, sterility, and cleanliness of equipment and instruments is crucial.
- Ensuring neat and clean nursing stations and procedure rooms is important.
- Accurate and precise nursing documentation is vital.
- Infection control practices, transmission precautions, isolation care, and reverse isolation care are critical.
- Exercising due diligence in consumables and office supplies usage is necessary.
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least NITEC/Diploma in Nursing.
- Required language(s): English.
- At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Required Skill(s): Clinical nursing skills.
- Preferably Junior Executive specialized in Healthcare - Nurse/Medical Support & Assistant or equivalent.
