We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Grade 1 Teacher to join our team at an esteemed educational institution.

Job Description:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching all modules and subject areas of the Primary Year 1 Cambridge curriculum, including English, Environmental Science, Mathematics, and Art & Design.
  • They will also be competent to teach any Second Language subject such as Tamil, Hindi, or French.
  • Additionally, they will sit as an Advisory Teacher and Subject Teacher for the Cambridge Primary Programme (Year 1).
  • Responsibilities include taking daily attendance, maintaining leave records, and generating monthly attendance reports.
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in Cambridge/IB curriculum, with mastery in English, Mathematics, and Science modules.
  • Knowledge to teach Tamil as a second language in the Cambridge Curriculum is preferred.
  • They will take responsibility for the progress of a class of primary-age students.
  • Classroom organisation, learning resources, and displays will be managed by the teacher to encourage a positive learning environment.
  • Lessons will be planned, prepared, and presented to cater to the needs of the whole ability range within their class.
  • Motivating students with enthusiastic and imaginative class activities is also essential.
  • Assessment, record-keeping, evaluating, and reporting student development will be carried out by the teacher.
  • Feedback to parents on students' progress will be provided.
  • Collaboration with others to plan and coordinate work is required.
  • Organising and participating in school events, outings, and activities will also be necessary.
  • Undertaking special assignments, ad-hoc functions, and related duties as required is part of the role.
