English Language Instructor

ULC Academy is seeking passionate and experienced English language instructors to join our team. We are looking for individuals who are confident communicators, student-focused, and enthusiastic about helping adult learners improve their English fluency and confidence - both in everyday and professional contexts.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality English lessons to adult learners of various levels, from beginner to advanced. Both full-time and freelance (contract-based) positions are available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct engaging and level-appropriate English lessons for adult learners
  • Teach a range of courses including: General English Business English Exam Preparation (IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge English) Conversation and Speaking Confidence
  • Create lesson plans and select materials aligned with learner needs and CEFR levels
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and maintain accurate progress reports
  • Contribute to curriculum improvement and in-house training when applicable
  • Conduct trial lessons and placement assessments as needed

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or above (preferably in English, Linguistics, Education or related fields)
  • Recognised English teaching qualification (CELTA, TESOL, TEFL, or equivalent)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience teaching adult learners (in-person or online)
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Comfortable teaching both group and private lessons
  • Positive, professional, and adaptable to diverse student backgrounds
  • Passionate about helping students build confidence in real-world English use
