Your Role
As a
Java Software Engineer , you will play a key role in supporting and enhancing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), focusing on backend Java applications. You will lead daily collaboration between internal teams (IT, operations, production) and vendors, ensuring system stability and performance. Responsibilities include incident resolution, documentation of standard procedures, and continuous improvement of system efficiency and user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain backend Java applications
Facilitate knowledge sharing and documentation of SOPs
Act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and vendor support, coordinating daily operations
Ensure timely resolution of incidents, service requests, and system alerts, supporting troubleshooting in collaboration with teams
Support continuous improvement initiatives for system performance, user experience, and operational efficiency, including documentation
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or related field
5+ years experience in MES systems support, preferably with SiView
Strong Java development skills
Proven leadership, especially with vendor or offshore teams
Solid understanding of MES processes in manufacturing environments
Effective communication and problem-solving skills
Experience in regulated industries
Nice-to-Haves:
Strong SQL knowledge, preferably with DB2 and Oracle
Familiarity with Git or version control systems
