Overview Warp Support Associate role at Milliken Floors Europe (Milliken & Company). Position reports to the Production Manager or PI over Warp Services. Location: Kingsley Plant / Thomson, GA area. This is a full-time role on a rotating 8-hour shift. Position Title / Location Kingsley Plant Warp Services Senior Operator — Kingsley Plant, with location in Thomson, GA area. Position Summary The Warp Services Team supports the weaving department by hauling warp yarns, tying warps, and hanging new patterns. The team works to repair or mitigate warp yarn quality issues. The Warp Services Associate collaborates with the team to minimize weave machine downtime. Responsibilities Hang patterns Tie in new warps Haul warps to and from the weaving department Lease warps Pull over warps Clean out machines Maintain equipment Other tasks as instructed by management Job Requirements Able to stand and work for up to 8 hours Must be able to move around the job for the entire shift Able to tie knots and draw ends to target times Able to safely operate powered warp trucks and tuggers Able to rotate with shift schedule Skills – Required Ability to read, write, and follow directions Good communication skills Basic math skills Machines, Tools and Equipment Used Airjet weave machines (all types)Powered warp truck, tugger, overhead hoist Wrenches, yarn tools, clamp devices, frames Reed hook, leno hook, scissors, gloves, safety equipment Draw graph, tickets, forms, hot knife, protective gear Yarn, dyed and greige fabric, warps, beams PC computer / BARCO / printer Safety shoes, safety glasses, ear protection, gloves, LOTO gear Physical Requirements Standing, walking, lifting up to 36 lbs as needed Ability to move around a large manufacturing facility with concrete floors Climbing onto warp trucks and weaving platforms (step-ups shown)Visual acuity to read tickets, lot cards, and computer screens Ability to work in a cotton dust environment and wear safety gear Regular attendance on rotating shift schedule Shift Requirements Shift schedule will depend on open positions at time of hire. The Warp Services Senior Operator typically works on a rotating 8-hour shift. Weekends and holidays are scheduled based on business demands. 1st Shift: 8 AM – 4 PM 2nd Shift: 4 PM – 12 AM (Midnight)3rd Shift: 12 AM – 8 AM Pay Classification Senior Operator Company Milliken & Company is a global manufacturing leader in materials science.
