Lead Cybersecurity Professional

Our organization seeks a seasoned cybersecurity professional to lead our lean team of experts. This role is responsible for managing multiple domains, including security operations, vulnerability management, and insider threat prevention.

Key Responsibilities:

Security Operations:

  • Monitor alerts from SIEM/EDR platforms, triage events, and coordinate incident response efforts.
  • Implement security controls for endpoint protection, encryption, and patching.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational security compliance.

Vulnerability Management:

  • Oversee vulnerability scanning, tracking, and remediation processes.
  • Ensure timely patching and prepare compliance documentation.
  • Support internal and external audits, risk assessments, and policy adherence.

Insider Threat Prevention:

  • Investigate DLP alerts, UEBA signals, and abnormal behavior.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on insider threat cases and exfiltration incidents.
  • Tune and refine DLP rules to minimize false positives.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Manage a team of cybersecurity professionals across various domains.
  • Provide technical guidance, task planning, and mentoring.
  • Support skills development and team growth.

Future Readiness - SOC Enablement:

  • Contribute to SOC planning, requirements, and operating model definition.
  • Define tooling requirements, escalation processes, and SOC metrics.

Working Closely With:

  • Infrastructure and Workplace Delivery teams for patching and endpoint compliance.
  • Service Delivery Managers for client security requirements and SLA compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security or equivalent field.
  • Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, SC-200, GIAC, OSCP.

Experience:

  • 6+ years in cybersecurity operations and compliance.
  • At least 1-2 years in leadership, technical lead, or SME roles.
  • Proven experience leading version upgrades or replacements of security tools.

Tools & Technologies:

  • SIEM/EDR: Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Endpoint, IBM QRadar.
  • Vulnerability Management: Tenable, Qualys, BigFix.
  • DLP & UEBA: Microsoft Purview, Netskope, Forcepoint.
  • Ticketing & Automation: ServiceNow, SolarWinds.
