A Equipment Technologist is responsible for monitoring, sustaining, and improving the equipment processes in their assigned area while working in partnership with production team members and area engineers. Equipment Technologist are expected to maintain open communication with production and engineering teams to resolve area issues and implement effective solutions with appropriate escalations. Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process. Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings. Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts. Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required. May perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers. Works on Fab Equipment.
