As a Principal Product Engineer working directly in support of the NAND Product Development Team Leader, your role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to propel new product development and spearhead the integration of solutions into actionable strategies and plans. In this capacity, you embody the NAND engineering team, engaging with strategic partners like business units, quality assurance, fabrication, testing, and supply chain to ensure a competitive time-to-market for the newest technology nodes, from silicon to system. This role is of significant impact, offering broad scope and high visibility. It presents the chance to contribute to Micron's forthcoming generation of technology and product enablement alongside a committed and skilled cross-functional team.
Responsibilities
Negotiate and align NAND requirements with business units and system partners and transform these requirements into a unified success criteria document (SCD) that guides NAND development
Lead collaboration efforts with Technology Development and Design teams to enable NAND integration into internal systems and end customer applications.
Drive seamless engineering execution by working closely within product engineering and alongside business units, supply chain, planning, fabrication, assembly, and test operations teams to facilitate seamless engineering execution.
Effectively communicate priorities within the NAND development team to maintain project schedules and ensure on-time qualification.
Represent the team in product development reviews, lead cross-functional team meetings, and collaborate on plans and changes required to achieve best-in-class NAND execution.
Lead NAND capability milestone reviews to advance system development progress towards the delivery of customer product qualification samples.
Engage in complex problem solving related to NAND-system interactions and guide the team towards issue resolution.
Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Desire to work on technical projects in collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams in a product development environment, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Good working knowledge of NAND design/device, validation, test flows and coverage, reliability or failure analysis with desire to expand knowledge into system product enablement, media management algorithms, and system architecture.
Knowledge in AI/ML is an advantage, as it aligns with Micron's commitment to leveraging advanced technologies for operational efficiency and innovation.
Education
Position requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Physics.
