The role.
The investment intern/associate's role would focus on working with our VC team with the ultimate goal of building the fund, making good investments, and maintaining the portfolio of companies.
Depending on the current priorities and candidates' capability, you can expect to support our fund, Limited Partners (LPs), and startups through its entire lifecycle.
We are seeking a highly motivated Investment Intern with a strong interest in VC or some prior background to join our investment team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for startups, technology, venture capital, fund, and entrepreneurship.
While experience in the early-stage startup, VC, or innovation ecosystem is preferred, it is not required.
The duties.
Investment interns will be supporting our fund team end-to-end. It has many aspects and not all can be listed, but to give a rough idea of the role, here are some of the things that you will do:
Work with fund manager to execute on all aspects of the fund, which includes working with the LPs, setting up the fund, and administrative work.
Assist with setting up, building, and establishing the fund.
Conduct market research to identify new trends and opportunities in sustainability, AI, blockchain, and web technologies.
Assist with the sourcing, management, and relationship building with startups.
Source for seed stage startups for corporate partners, investments, and programmes.
Assist in improving operational efficiency.
Conduct due diligence, market research, and obtaining insights that are impactful.

Able to build relationships with partners and represent StartupX in the ecosystem.

Strong interest and affinity to technology, startups, entrepreneurship, venture capital, innovation, and sustainability.
Able to learn quickly and operate independently (i.e., learning how to effectively use a variety of tools and databases).
Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
