Our YE lab under TD (Technology Development) at Micron's Singapore site is equipped with the most advanced equipment available in the field. Here, you will have the opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects that push the boundaries of what’s possible in semiconductor technology.
We are on the lookout for a dedicated and skilled Equipment Engineer to join our outstanding team. You will be encouraged to support improvement activities associated with the rapid deployment of advanced equipment and ensure its high performance in daily operations. Good team spirit and collaboration are essential with various collaborators, including customers, partners, and team members, for various equipment setup, maintenance, repair, and encouraged work. You are encouraged to work independently with minimal direction, complete projects in a timely manner, and achieve set objectives.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including facilities and layout teams, to plan and implement tool installations, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth transitions.
Coordinate the installation, qualification, and commissioning of equipment, ensuring they meet all specified requirements and standards.
Serve as the first line of defense to solve tool-related issues and work with vendors on tool maintenance and repair promptly.
Collaborate with Boise TD equipment development peers on deciding equipment technology choices for advanced nodes and translating future technology needs into clear equipment requirements.
Integrate tool data into Micron software and systems for data processing and equipment monitoring.
Manage equipment development projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and prioritization, to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
Lead and participate in continuous yield improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for all equipment service and development activities as needed.
Cultivate positive relationships with suppliers, vendors, and cross-functional teams to support equipment service and development initiatives.
Communicate effectively with team members, collaborators, and management to provide updates on project progress and technical insights.
Requirements
Minimum Associate Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the semiconductor industry in equipment engineer roles.
In-depth understanding of equipment operation, working principles, troubleshooting, and tool installation procedures is a must.
Self-motivated and adaptable to Micron’s fast-paced, challenging, and dynamic work environment.
Problem-solving approach with a drive for finding effective solutions.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey messages clearly and sharply both locally and globally.
